What is the GrassMaster II probe?
GrassMaster II is a drymatter instrument
produced by Novel Ways, Hamilton, New Zealand that can
be used to maximise profitability per hectare
of land. This world leading
pasture meter is a fast and reliable method of establishing the
drymatter content of pastures. Using the capacitance method,
sample readings are taken as you walk across the paddock (diameter
of 300mm around the probe), and then averaged in kgDM/Ha.
The probe works in the wet, on
stony and pugged ground, and on hills - areas where you cannot use
some other meters. Up to 200 paddocks can be saved, and these
readings are easily downloaded using Feedpad QA to the paddock database or read
off the LCD screen.

By observing your pastures
and predicting future growth, you should save on supplement costs
and allocate pasture more efficiently. The capital payback period
for the GrassMaster II can be very short! The
GrassMaster II includes the electronic indicator, probe assembly,
oil and cloth, charger/download adapter and basic download CD,
manual and 12 month direct warranty. A comprehensive backup
service is provided to farmers.
